Mechanical Engineering Department

Department of Mechanical Engineering takes pride to be the birth place of vibrant technical and managerial professionals.

The Department now enjoys the responsibility of double in-take through TNEA single window counselling, admitting 120 meritorious students with the purpose of preparing the students technically and technologically, cultivating in them the right balance of edification, creating an industrial exposure all the way. One post graduation courses, CAD/CAM admits students who have passed their TANCET and GATE with flying colours.

The Department having 23 high prolific teaching faculties along with 6 non-teaching staffs who lay great emphasis on the core rudiments and principles, with tests premeditated in a way, where those fundamentals are reflected industrially. The brilliant state of the art facilities and advanced pristine lab equipments also helps in creating an industrial oriented atmosphere. A reference centre is also furnished holding over 1500 reference books and 200 end semester project reports.

To enhance the knowledge of the students a number of technical events, guest lectures and seminars are being organized under SME and SAE collegiate clubs respectively. To its crown, a national level technical extravaganza MEPSA, sets the tone every year, welcoming all the engineering freaks from across the country to celebrate their passion for this scintillating art of engineering.

A serene and tranquil ‘MECH’ atmosphere helps the dynamic professionals to kindle their innovative minds. The enduring efforts of faculties have enhanced the students with omnipotent skills, with considerable research work being done in the department.
