Engineering Practice Laboratory

In the Engineering practice Lab, the first year students are trained to handle the basic equipments/instruments including Signal Generators, Cathode Ray Oscilloscope and Digital Multi meter. Fundamental experiments in Analog and Digital Electronics are carried out in this lab. The students design the circuits, solder them and then test the performance.

Analog & Digital Communication Laboratory

Students construct and analyze circuits on analog communication transmitter/ receiver and understand the signals received at different stages of AM and FM receivers.

Optical & Microwave Laboratory

The objective of this lab is to familiarize the students with microwave and optical communication techniques/technologies. In microwave, students study about the operation and characteristics of microwave sources such as klystron and Gunn diodes, load impedance and standing wave measurements, antenna gain and radiation pattern measurements. In optical communication, the characteristics of the optical fiber and analog and digital fiber links using LED and LASER sources are studied.

VLSI Design Laboratory

Students are exposed to cutting edge technologies and develop the projects with FPGA kits. Xilinx Software is used for front end and back end VLSI design. Orcad and Cadence are also available.

Network Laboratory

The Networks Lab investigates software solutions for efficient, high data-rate, adaptive wireless sensor networking systems and also works closely with various domain applications.

Digital Signal Processing Laboratory

Different types of network elements like filters, attenuators and equalizers are constructed and tested to understand their working principles in time and frequency domains.

Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory

This lab aims in inculcating the knowledge of programming, by developing and executing programs with arithmetic operations, code conversions, searching and sorting algorithms. The lab is also used by the students to interface the microprocessor and microcontroller to various peripheral devices to generate waveforms, perform A/D and D/A conversions, and for displays, digital clock. An introduction to ARM processor and programming using ARM processor are also done by the students.
