Anti Tobacco Rules

Under the provisions of “The Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003”, the sale of cigarettes and tobacco products in an area within a radius of 100 (one hundred) yards of the Institution is strictly prohibited and that such sale is an offence punishable with the fine which may also extend up to seizure and confiscation of product(s).

The cigarettes and tobacco products as stated in the above said Act are as following:

  • Cigarettes
  • Cigars
  • Cheroots
  • Beedis
  • Cigarettes tobacco, pipe tobacco and hookah tobacco.
  • Chewing tobacco
  • Snuff
  • Pan masala or any chewing material having tobacco as one of its ingredients (by whatever name called)
  • Gutka
  • Tooth powder containing tobacco.
